We provide a comprehensive range of services to meet your dental needs. We emphasize
total oral-facial care and preventive treatment. Following are a list of some of
the services we offer:
Patient Safety and Comfort
As our primary concerns, patient safety and comfort are an integral part of each
procedure we offer. We follow all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
guidelines for your protection and ours. All members of the staff wear gloves, masks
and glasses. All instruments are sterilized regularly and disposable, sterile products
are used whenever possible. Disposable tips are used for each patient on the suction
and water devices. All surfaces in the examination rooms are cleaned and disinfected
after each patient.
We would like your visit to be as pleasant as possible. We are available to discuss
your anxieties about dental treatment and any other concerns you may have. Our rooms
are equipped with radio, television sets with headsets and a selection of videos
for your enjoyment during your treatment. We offer topical and local anesthetic,
as well as nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for those patients who would like to use
it. In some cases, pre-medication is available for those who need it. Above all,
please let us know what we can do to make you comfortable.
Hygiene
The basis for good oral health is regular hygiene treatments, which remove plaque
and tartar buildup. These visits will help you maintain healthy teeth and gums and
provide us with an overall picture of your oral health. The timing of visits may
vary depending on your current needs and oral health. We will review your medical
history, check your teeth for decay, monitor periodontal (gum) condition, perform
screening tests, discuss your needs and concerns, and provide education on effective
hygiene at home. Regularly coming in for these visits will provide us with the best
chance of catching problems early and effectively preventing future problems.
Tooth Decay and Repair
Decay left untreated on the tooth structure can cause pain, bone or tooth loss,
and a degeneration of oral health and cosmetic pleasantness. Early detection of
decay allows us to control its growth with the least amount of intervention. Our
revolutionary "air abrasion" instruments allow us to fix minor cavities
with a powerful "mini sandblaster" technique that causes no pain and requires
no anesthetic.
Crowns
A crown serves to restore a broken, cracked or heavily decayed tooth to its original
shape and size. Crowns protect and strengthen remaining tooth structure and can
make your teeth more aesthetically pleasing.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Numerous techniques available today allow us to assist you in creating the smile
you've always wanted. We offer a full range of cosmetic services, including teeth
bleaching for whiter, brighter teeth, veneers or bonding, and tooth recontouring.
Bridges
A bridge is used to replace missing teeth. The bridge helps your face, jaw and existing
teeth maintain their proper position and function.
Dentures
Full or partial dentures can be made to replace large sections of missing teeth.
Well fitting dentures help maintain proper function of the mouth and may help slow
the loss of bone and tissue structure. Regular visits are necessary to maintain
proper fit and health of the underlying gums.
Implants
This relatively new procedure allows us to use an implant to replace missing teeth.
It is integrated with the bone of the jaw and supports a new tooth. These provide
greater stability and a more natural look.
Periodontal Disease
Early treatment and prevention of periodontal (gum) disease is essential to good
oral health. Left unchecked, periodontal disease can cause irreversible tissue and
bone loss. This condition is not always obvious or painful, but causes 75% of tooth
loss in adults over 35. Increased hygiene treatments and other techniques help us
control this disease and save your teeth.
Root Canal Therapy
Decay that descends into the pulp of the tooth requires root canal therapy to save
the tooth. The treatment consists of removing the nerve in the root of the tooth.
A crown is usually required on the tooth that has had this treatment to prevent
breakage in the increasingly brittle tooth.
Oral Surgery
While every effort is made to save teeth, sometimes extraction of the tooth is the
only option. We perform these extractions as needed with a minimum of discomfort.
For complicated cases, the doctor may refer you to a maxillofacial surgeon.
Mouth or Bite Guards
A major cause of discomfort, tooth loss and tension in the face and jaw is teeth
grinding. A custom-made, specially fitting mouth guard can be made to alleviate
these symptoms and prevent future loss of tooth structure.
